Iced Soda Pops

There’s nothing better than homemade treats. Here’s a favourite with nostalgic flavours of soda.

10 ounces cherry soda
10 ounces vanilla cream soda
2 cups water                                                                                      26 Aug Cherry Soda
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
A hand full of pitted cherries, cut in half (optional)


Pour sodas into individual bowls and whisk out the bubbles.

Make the syrup by combining the sugar, water and vanilla in a medium sauce pot. Simmer over medium high heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Split the vanilla syrup equally between the flavoured sodas.

Pour one flavor into the mold. Add a few cherries (if using) then freeze fully before adding the second flavor. Several types of mold kits are available to make adding the sticks easier.

Freeze overnight before serving. Chiiiillls!
