Sara Brodsky is the Culinary Coordinator at our Calgary South store. A self-taught cook, her inspiration came first from her mother, then from her interior design studies. Since becoming an interior designer, her enthusiasm and passion for colours have been applied more in cooking than in décor.
A lot of recipes that Sara makes contain “Sara’s Green Stuff”. Intrigued as we were, we asked her what exactly is in Sara’s Green Stuff. We thought we’d share it with you.
“My mom was feeding 8 people on a daily basis. People would often ring our doorbell just before dinner knowing my mom would always have a homemade nourishing supper on the table. Sometimes she would reset the table 4 or 5 times and always with a smile on her face. Supper was always quick, easy and yummy. She did not drive so running to a store was not an option. She invented this “Green Stuff” to make all of her recipes easier and her hands never smelled like freshly chopped onions and garlic. This concoction can flavour soups, stews, stuffings and pastas.”
