A Chef’s Best Friend

Some kitchen tools are essential for making food magic happen! Here are three tools we think are a chef’s best friends.

Immersion Blenders

Immersion Blender 1.jpgChefs swear by immersion blenders; they’re great for pureeing hot soups and sauces and also for things that could be too much volume for a regular blender. The best things about immersion blenders is that they are quick, easy to use, and aren’t messy.

Microplane Hand Grater

This hand grater is great for zesting fruits and shaving chocolate or fresh nutmeg, or shredding cheese. It’s an awesome little tool for grating ginger or doing any citrus zest or even truffles for a sauce. It also works fantastic for egg white prep for caviar. Something to watch for is to make sure you go for one that has a sturdy handle.

Re-Usable Silicone Storage Bags
Make sure to also have re-usable silicone storage bags. Not only are they durable and reusable, they can also be cleaned in the dishwasher; rendering them one of the best re-usable kitchen accessories that are eco-friendly and better for the environment than your usual plastic sandwich baggies. Unlike baggies, silicone bags are suitable for freezing, heating, putting them in the oven and are microwave-safe.

  1. Hello. How are you doing? I agree with you on these tools. We own smaller versions at home When Mark was working at the restaurant, they had the larger tools. They are great. Look forward to reading more of your posts.
