3-4 years ago my husband and I were in the showroom in Saskatoon’s Trail Appliances store – and the chef had made some dill biscuits. The recipe was in the newsletter and we tried it at home and LOVED them! I lost the recipe and haven’t been able to find it!! 😦 I wonder if we could use this one and swap the oregano/thyme with dill? Or is there someone there who could get a hold of that chef’s recipe? Thanks!!

      Hi Jayna,

Thank you for your question. We believe this is the recipe you’re looking for. If not, please let us know.

      Ingredients:
1 cup frozen shredded butter (use a cheese grater to shred butter)
      2 ¼cup buttermilk
      6 cups all purpose flour
      2 tablespoons baking powder
      3 teaspoons salt

      Method:
      1. The frozen butter is key for fluffy and crisp biscuits. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add shredded butter and buttermilk. Hand mix until just incorporated, do not over mix.
      2. Roll out on a floured surface, one inch thick and cut into triangles or use a round cutter for round biscuits
      3. Add 2 cups of shredded cheese and ½ cup chives or fresh chopped dill as well. (optional)
